Classical chronologists originally used letters to denote digits. For example, the Greco-Romans believed that "10" was a sacred number; consequently, they denoted the first letter of the prevalent anagram of their anointed, XPICTOC (Anglicized Christ), with the number 10. That is, X=10.
However, when Iesus (Anglicized Jesus) was elevated to the Christ status, the chronologists denoted the first letter of his name (I.e. I) with number 1; that is I=1, and they started their calendar from year 1 since Iesus. For example, year 100 since Iesus = I.100 = 1100 AD. Similarly, year 200 since Iesus = I.200 = 1200 AD etc.
According to the new chronologists, Fomenko et al, the mystery of "letter to digit" denotation was plausibly lost in the Middle Ages; consequently, the Jesuit-chronologists of the Middle Ages dropped the letter I, erroneously shifting the Western chronology or timeline back 1000 years. For example, year 100 since Iesus or I.100 (I.e. 1100AD) was erroneously recorded as year 100 AD after the first letter "I" had been dropped. Subsequent events and years were erroneously recorded based on the same reason and rationale as in year 100 example above.
The question now is: can the mainstream or Scaligerian chronology be trusted? Question everything!!!

Low-level crypto scheme using Odu Ifa bits.
Let me describe, briefly, how Odu Ifa can be adapted to protect the integrity of large volume of data (I.e low-level crypto scheme). I shall use two popular Odus, Ejiogbe and Oyeku Meji, to buttress my point.
Ejiogbe is a masculine Odu; it's spatial representation is:
I I
I I
I I
I I
and it's binary code is: 11111111.
An Ilari (a learned spy) can store valuable information in Ejiogbe and protect its integrity using the binary code of Ejiogbe's perfect complement. In other words, a receiver must know Ejiogbe's perfect complement and its binary code to decrypt the message stored in Ejiogbe.
Let's assume I was the receiver. As a learned receiver, I know that Ejiogbe's perfect complement is Oyeku-Meji. Oyeku-Meji is a feminine Odu; its spatial representation is this:
I I I I
I I I I
I I I I
I I I I
and it's binary code is: 00000000. With Oyeku-Meji's binary code, I would be able to decrypt the message enclosed inside Ejiogbe. Needless to say, this is an elementary crypto-scheme. It can be fine-tuned into a more sophisticated crypto-scheme.
Once again, Ifa has evolved, but we must study its evolution.

Why is Ifa more than cultural information?
Just as prime numbers are the building blocks of all natural numbers, Ifa (base 2) is the building block of all bases of natural numbers.
In number theory, prime field is the smallest subfield containing both 0 and 1; whereby, 0 is an even count and 1 is an odd count (I.e. the two legs of Ifa). And upon combining the two legs (0,1), an infinite geometric series would emerge. So, Ifa is an infinite geometric series generator.
We call upon all young Awos, who are ethno-mathematically inclined, to move Ifa from cultural information level to species or technological information level. There is no doubt that Ifa will impact Yoruba civilization significantly if it reaches the level of technological information.

Debunking the myth of "almighty" Sumer.
According to the Scaligerian or mainstream historians, Sumer was the first ancient urban civilization in the historical region of Southern Mesopotamia. Sumerians are credited with the invention of writing; thereby, putting Mesopotamia as the cradle of civilization.
Imagine I sat down in my world civilization class for one long semester being fed this fantastic lie. I hope you now understand why I ditched school altogether and became a student of Ifa.
Anyway, the so called Proto-Sumerian writing script or Sumerian cuneiform tablets are routine accounting clay tablets that were created for the mundane purposes of keeping accounts and records. In other words, the Sumerian cuneiform is an accounting device and not a writing script; thereby, destroying the myth of Mesopotamia as the cradle of civilization - to be the cradle of civilization, you must be the first to invent writing.
Why did Western academia invent Sumer and the myth of Mesopotamia being the cradle of civilization?
1. Ideological and racist reasons - a clever attempt to move the original cradle of civilization from the Nile Valley in Africa to the Tigris and Euphrates in the invented "Middle-East."
2. An attempt to historicize Biblical civilization of Babylon in the Old Testament. Remember, the mainstream history of all ancient civilizations was created by the Scaligerites using invented Biblical chronology or timeline. Consequently, Sumer or Mesopotamia is an academic duplicate of Biblical Babylon, both invented and fictitious!
Now, if the Sumerians were not the first in history to invent writing, who were the first to do so? The people we know today in history as the Ancient Egyptians were the first to invent writing, putting Ancient Egypt as the cradle of civilization. Every writing script we have today originated from the ancient Egyptian writing scripts: the pictographic Hieroglyphs, the Phonetic I alphabet or Heratic script, and lastly the Phonetic II alphabet or demotic script. It's from the phonetic Pharaonic Egyptian alphabet that the Greek/Latin alphabets developed.
Writing is a system, and like all systems, can only be invented once. The Ancient Egyptians, not Sumerians, invented the system of writing and every other civilization just copied their invention.

Prime Numbers And Traditional Crypto Scheme
It will take 28 years for a prey that migrates every 7 years to be eaten by a predator that migrates every 4 years. However, it will only take 16 years for a prey that migrates every 8 years to be eaten by a predator that migrates every 4 years. So, by choosing odd years to migrate, the former prey extends its life expectancy by 12 years.
Interestingly, in the Old Oyo Kingdom, in the time of war, the Alaafin (I.e. the commander in chief of armed forces) and the Oyomesi (I.e. traditional senators) often chose odd days to send cryptic messages (I.e Aroko) to the Aare Onakakanofo (I.e. Generalissimo) on the battle field.
Wait for it: in pure math, it's found that most odd numbers are prime, and they're very difficult to guess in a sequence, making them excellent crypto keys. In fact, very recently, anthropologists discovered an insect in South America that uses a prime-numbered life-cycle to drive natural selection.
It's not surprising to me that some insects use a prime-numbered life-cycle to drive natural selection, for insects are connected to nature and their environment. It's very surprising, however, that, in the Old Oyo Kingdom, the Alaafin and the Oyomesi adopted same "prime-numbered crypto-scheme" to game their enemies. Could it be that the Alaafin and the Oyomesi were connected to nature and they studied their natural environment?
